Kuwait Fire Service Announces Deaths of Two Officers in the Line of Duty
The General Force of the Kuwait Fire Service announced on Sunday the death of two officers “in the exercise of their duties,” according to a message posted on the X platform.
In the statement, the institution expressed its deep sadness and great sorrow after the loss of the “martyrs of duty,” namely Chief of Staff Abdullah Imad Al‑Sharah and Major Fahd Abdulaziz Al‑Mujammad, both members of the General Directorate of Land Border Security.
The two officers were killed while carrying out their missions under the national responsibilities assigned to the Ministry of Interior, the same source added.
Authorities have not provided details about the exact circumstances of their deaths.
The announcement comes amid heightened regional tensions, as Kuwait recently intercepted drones and missiles launched from Iran following U.S. and Israeli strikes against that country.
