Launch of the First Edition of the International Hot Air Balloon Festival
The first edition of the International Hot Air Balloon Festival kicked off this Saturday morning, October 25, 2025, in Djerba, in the presence of Medenine Governor Walid Taboubi, Mehdi Haloui, Director General of the Tunisian National Tourism Office (ONTT), Badis Belhaj Ali, Chairman of the Tourism Commission at the Assembly of People's Representatives, Ali Dridi, Secretary General of the Tunisian Civil Aviation Association, and Hichem Mahouachi, Regional Tourism Commissioner for Djerba-Zarzis.
Objective of the Festival
This initiative, which will continue in Douz and Tozeur in the coming days, aims to create a new tourist product combining aviation and leisure, thus enriching the national offer and extending the tourist season. The festival offers a varied program for all ages, including:
- A national handicrafts fair
- An exhibition on the history of aviation in Tunisia
- Educational and cultural workshops
- Drawing activities for children
- Aerial parade shows
- An outdoor concert featuring an international rap artist, open to the general public
