University of Kebili Introduces Smart Card Access System
The director of the University of Kebili, Najeh Dhaw, has announced that the university restaurant will be equipped with a smart card access control system. This is a pilot project programmed by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Office of University Works of the South, to be deployed in certain institutions.
Key Features of the Project
This project, implemented this year at the university restaurant as part of the digitization of services, will allow for the elimination of traditional tickets and ensure intelligent access for students. The system will also offer the possibility of reserving meals in advance, which will help the restaurant staff to know the number of expected students.
Implementation and Benefits
According to Najeh Dhaw, the University of Kebili's restaurant is the second establishment in the south to benefit from this smart card project, which will come into service next October. The university is expected to host over 500 students this year, with 313 students already requesting accommodation and over 200 students having moved into their rooms.
University Overview
It's worth noting that the Higher Institute of Technological Studies of Kebili is the only university institution in the city. It is expected to host around 700 students this year, including 400 new enrollments. The introduction of the smart card access system is a significant step towards modernizing the university's services and improving the overall student experience.
