Over 7,000 Animals Vaccinated Against Rabies in Kasserine Governorate
According to Lotfi Sayahi, the head of the animal production service at the Regional Agricultural Development Commission, more than 7,000 animals have been vaccinated against rabies in the Kasserine Governorate since the beginning of the current year.
Sayahi reported that 18 animal contaminations were recorded between January and May, adding that the vaccination operations enable the monitoring of the epidemiological situation and reduce the spread of the disease in the region.
He emphasized that any citizen who detects potential rabies cases should contact the relevant veterinary services.
It's worth noting that between January and August 2025, the national rabies vaccination campaign had allowed for the vaccination of 40,600 animals, as well as 7,000 animals by private veterinary services.
