Kasserine Awareness and Prevention Campaign on Screen Addiction in Children

World Sight Day: Free Visual Screening for 200 Children in Kasserine

Dr. Leila Ben Dhifi, head of the School and University Medicine Service at the Kasserine Regional Health Directorate, confirmed in a statement to Mosaïque on Monday, October 6, 2025, that her service organized a visual screening caravan, which provided 200 children with a vision test on the occasion of World Sight Day.

Awareness Campaigns and Health Education

She explained that the School and University Medicine Service in Kasserine also organized, as part of the same event, awareness days to prevent screen addiction in 12 health districts in the region. This campaign started today and will continue until October 12.

Health Education Tent

Finally, a health education tent was set up to inform people about screen addiction, dental and gum diseases, and healthy nutrition, all as part of this event, according to Dr. Leila Ben Dhifi.
