Official Statement from Kasserine Courts
The official spokesperson for the Kasserine courts and first assistant to the public prosecutor at the Kasserine Court of First Instance, Judge Imed El Amri, confirmed in a statement to "Mosaïque" on Monday, December 15, 2025, that the prosecution has ordered the detention of two businessmen who were subject to a restrictive measure (travel ban).
Detentions and Investigations
It was also decided to detain a smuggler and three other suspects, in addition to placing another person on the wanted list. These decisions follow suspicions of involvement in an attempt to plan the smuggling of the two businessmen out of Tunisian territory.
Details of the Case
Judge El Amri explained that, following the receipt of information by the Research and Inspection Brigade of the National Guard in Fériana indicating that a smuggler was in possession of passports belonging to businessmen, the smuggler's home was searched and the passports were seized.
It was found that these documents belonged to two businessmen who were subject to a restrictive measure prohibiting them from traveling, according to the same source.
Ongoing Investigations
The first assistant to the public prosecutor at the Kasserine Court of First Instance emphasized that investigations are still ongoing in this case.
