The Regional Health Director in Kasserine, Dr. Abdelghani Chaabani, confirmed on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in a statement to Mosaïque FM, that 31 surgical interventions were performed to extract cataracts (white water). These operations were carried out at the University Hospital Badr-Eddine Aloui in Kasserine.
