Kairouan's First Weekly Used Car Market Opens
The first weekly market dedicated to the sale of used cars in Kairouan was inaugurated yesterday, Saturday. Located on a 10,000 m² area in the city's wholesale market, this new space constitutes a strategic asset for the region, according to Hamadi Abdallah, Secretary General of the municipality.
Objectives and Features
The municipal official stated that this market aims to boost the local economy, given the city's strategic location at the crossroads of six governorates. On its first day, the market exceeded expectations, with around 240 vehicles put up for sale. The market has been designed to organize the used car sales sector and provide a secure and adapted framework for transactions. It brings together all essential services, including a municipal administrative office to facilitate on-site sales procedures.
Partnerships and Additional Services
In partnership with the Regional Union of Industry, Commerce, and Crafts of Kairouan, additional services have been implemented, including the presence of specialized automotive technicians to advise buyers and facilitate transactions. The market's capacity is expected to reach 300 vehicles. An access fee of 5 dinars per vehicle put up for sale has been introduced to regulate attendance and ensure organized and professional operations.
