Kairouan University Hospital Project to Begin in November
The member of parliament for Kairouan, Nabil Hamdi, has announced that the construction work for the King Salman Ibn Abdelaziz University Hospital project will officially start in November. A high-level delegation is expected to visit the Kairouan governorate to inspect the site where the future hospital will be built.
In a statement to Diwan FM, Nabil Hamdi specified that the financial disputes between the construction companies have been resolved, emphasizing that these disputes were the cause of the delay and had no connection to the Saudi subsidy.
Project Overview
This project, approved in July 2017, involves the construction and equipment of a multidisciplinary university hospital on a 14-hectare site, as part of a donation from the Saudi Development Fund worth $85 million.

The future hospital will include several medical centers equipped with the latest technologies and cutting-edge specialties, in line with international standards, to meet the health needs of the inhabitants of Kairouan and surrounding regions.
