Official Visit of Shaoxing Delegation to Kairouan
On September 12, 2025, a delegation from the Chinese city of Shaoxing made an official visit to Kairouan. Welcomed by the Governor of the city, the delegation notably visited the local industrial zone.
During this meeting, the two parties discussed ways to strengthen their cooperation in cultural, tourist, economic, and commercial fields. The establishment of a twinning between Kairouan and Shaoxing was at the center of the exchanges, paving the way for future joint projects.
Ms. DONG Shuhui, Counselor Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Tunisia, took part in the activities and discussions, emphasizing the importance of this rapprochement for Tunisian-Chinese bilateral relations.
