President Kaïs Saïed Meets Defense Minister Khaled Suhili at the Palace of Carthage
Yesterday afternoon, President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed received Defense Minister Khaled Suhili at the Palace of Carthage.
According to an official communiqué from the Presidency, the Head of State praised the efforts of the Tunisian armed forces in defending the nation’s integrity and assisting citizens whenever duty calls. He also highlighted the projects overseen by the General Directorate of Military Engineering across the country.
In addition, the President discussed the activities of the Office of Rjim Maatoug for the Development of the South and the Sahara. He expressed confidence that strengthening support for this office will help transform the Tunisian Sahara into productive green zones—especially since pilot projects have already demonstrated the feasibility of cultivating a variety of fruits and vegetables in the region.
