Tunisian Exporters Informed of Jordanian Market Opening for Extra Virgin Olive Oil
The Centre for Export Promotion (CEPEX) has informed Tunisian olive oil exporters that the Jordanian authorities have announced the opening of the market for the importation of extra virgin olive oil for the 2025/2026 campaign.
According to a statement published on Tuesday, the import quota concerns projected quantities of up to 10,000 tonnes, with packaging limited to 1-4 litres.
- The quota for each Jordanian importer will be defined after studies and validation of their import request, CEPEX specified.
- Imports will be carried out in stages based on quotas assigned to Jordanian public and private operators, in accordance with administrative and technical requirements that respect Jordanian standards.
It is worth noting that the countries concerned by the importation of olive oil are members of the International Olive Council.
