Partnership Agreement Signed to Enhance Professional Integration of Young People

On Monday, May 25, 2026, a partnership agreement was signed between the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training and the Tunisian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Improving Professional Integration and Aligning Training with Labor Market Needs

The agreement aims to improve the professional integration of young people and better align training with the needs of the labor market. The signing ceremony took place at the ministry's headquarters under the supervision of Minister Riadh Chaoued, in the presence of Chamber President Khalil Chaïbi, as well as several senior officials from the ministry and representatives from both parties.

A Shared Vision for Strengthening Cooperation

This partnership is part of a shared vision to strengthen cooperation between the national employment and vocational training system and the private sector. It aims to reduce the gap between acquired skills and the real needs of businesses by developing technical, digital, and behavioral skills among young people.

Minister Highlights the Importance of Human Capital

Minister Chaoued emphasized that this initiative is part of a global strategy based on valuing human capital, vocational training, continuous training, and entrepreneurship. The goal is to promote sustainable social and economic integration, decent work, and social justice.

Chamber President Stresses the Need for Adaptation

Chamber President Chaïbi emphasized the need to adapt job seekers' profiles to the evolving needs of businesses. The agreement includes several axes of cooperation, including:

  • Developing vocational training systems within companies
  • Identifying skill needs in various economic sectors
  • Promoting international professional mobility and valuing Tunisian skills abroad
  • Implementing conversion and improvement programs, particularly in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and new technologies

Joint Actions to Facilitate Young People's Integration

The partnership also includes joint actions to facilitate young people's integration and bring businesses closer to available skills. Additionally, collaborations will be developed between Tunisian training centers and French companies, and joint studies will be conducted on emerging professions and economic transformations.

Establishment of a Joint Steering Committee

Finally, a joint steering committee will be established to develop an annual action plan and ensure the implementation of this agreement.
