Regional Union of Agriculture and Fishing in Jendouba Condemns Vandalism on New Irrigation Network

The Regional Union of Agriculture and Fishing in Jendouba released a statement on Monday evening, May 4, announcing that several acts of vandalism have been committed on the new irrigation network in the Brahmi agricultural zone.
According to the same source, three water meters were destroyed, doors were forced open, and bolts were stolen, compromising the proper functioning of the hydraulic infrastructure.
The Regional Union strongly condemned these acts, which it considers serious and unacceptable, stating that they reflect no sense of responsibility. The organization reminded that this irrigation network is an important achievement for the region and a crucial lever to support local agricultural activity.
The Regional Union also emphasized that any damage to this infrastructure represents a direct attack on farmers and their income, calling for the protection of such vital equipment for the agricultural sector.
Finally, the organization held the perpetrators fully responsible for these degradations, targeting a service considered strategic for the sustainability of agricultural activity in the region, according to the statement.
