Three Houses Damaged by Lightning in Aïn Ksir
Three houses located in the El Khedhria district, in the Aïn Ksir area (Jendouba North delegation), were damaged last night by a lightning strike that occurred during the storms and rains that hit several delegations in the region.
Haïkel, whose family home is one of the affected houses, explained that the walls of his house and the two other houses cracked. Additionally, the electricity meters of the three houses were damaged.
He added that the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG) services visited the site to assess the damage. Work is underway to restore electricity to the damaged houses and replace the cables and meters.
On their part, the regional authorities have set up a commission to assess the damage and provide compensation for the repair of the homes.
