Evaluating Progress of Preparations for the Congress to be Held on November 5, 6, and 7 in Tunisia

The global president of the Junior Chamber International (JCI), Keisuke Shimoyamada, praised the efforts made by Tunisia, particularly by its young people, to host the JCI World Congress 2025. This major event will take place from November 5 to 7 in Tunisia and will be an opportunity to promote the Tunisian site economically, culturally, and touristically, according to the organizers during a press conference held on Tuesday, September 30, in Tunis, in the presence of the JCI global president.

During his three-day visit, which began on September 28, Shimoyamada visited the sites planned to host the congress and met with officials from several institutions, including the FIPA (Tunisian Foreign Investment Promotion Agency) and the CEPEX (Export Promotion Center). He also met with the leaders of JCI Tunisia and the officials of the 2025 Congress.

Speaking on the sidelines of the conference, Ameni Slimene, national president of JCI Tunisia, discussed the achievements and objectives of JCI Tunisia. "JCI Tunisia is more than just a network of young leaders and entrepreneurs; it is a strategic partner, an effective collaborator with the state, and an essential driver of change," she said, adding "we support leadership, youth empowerment, and all initiatives that contribute to the progress of society."

Regarding the holding of the 2025 congress in Tunisia, she stated that "hosting this prestigious event is a national pride and a unique opportunity to highlight the dynamism of our country."

Omar Bejaoui, director of the World Congress, presented the preliminary program of the event and the progress of preparations. He notably stated that more than 3,000 delegates are expected to attend the congress, including nearly 900 participants from Japan. "Today, we have already reached more than 2,300 confirmed registrations, a figure that continues to grow every day and testifies to the exceptional appeal of Tunisia," he said.

He also indicated that more than 250 volunteers are already mobilized and 50 institutional and private partners are confirmed. He further emphasized that the congress program, which includes cultural and economic events, will highlight Tunisia's assets, particularly in terms of investment.

The congress is expected to be a significant event, promoting Tunisia's economic, cultural, and tourist attractions to a global audience. With its rich program and high-level participation, it is set to be a resounding success, showcasing the country's potential and opportunities for investment and collaboration.
