36th Edition of JCC: 9 Tunisian Films Selected
The 36th edition of the JCC, taking place from December 13 to 20, 2025, will feature the participation of nine Tunisian films. The festival's management announced in a statement on Saturday, November 15, 2025, that the selection committee for works participating in the official competitions of the festival has nominated nine Tunisian films, including:
- 3 works in the Official Feature Film Competition
- 3 documentaries in the Official Documentary Feature Film Competition
- 3 works in the Official Short Film Competition

The list of selected Tunisian films in the Official Feature Film Competition includes:
- "Où le vent nous emmène" by Amel Guellaty
- "La Voix de Hend Rajab" by Kaouther Ben Hania
- "Ciel sans terre" by Arij Al Sahairi
Selected Tunisian Films in the Official Documentary Feature Film Competition
The selected films participating in the Official Documentary Feature Film Competition are:
- "Al-Janna" by Majdi Al Akhdhar
- "Notre Semence" by Anis Al Aswad
- "Au-dessus de la colline" by Belhassen Handous
Selected Tunisian Films in the Official Short Film Competition
The following films will participate in the Official Short Film Competition:
- "Les oiseaux n'émigrent pas" by Rami Jerboui
- "Serssi" by Walid Tayae
- "La tomate maudite" by Marwa Tayba
The festival's management had revealed a few days ago the official poster of the festival, which embodies, according to the presentation text of the poster, "the free and inspiring woman, in her continuous and influential movement in Africa".
