Tunisian National Delegation Continues to Shine at the 8th Day of the African Youth Games in Luanda
The Tunisian national delegation pursued its ascent on the 8th day of the African Youth Games, held in Luanda, the capital of Angola. Tunisian athletes won 7 new medals (gold, silver, and bronze) in tennis and fencing events.
Tennis: A Tunisian Grand Slam
Tunisian tennis dominated the courts with 3 gold medals:
- Sara Atik impressively won the title of champion in the girls' singles.
- Ahmed Dermoul emulated his compatriot by dominating the boys' singles competition.
- The duo completed this exceptional performance by winning a third gold medal in mixed doubles, confirming Tunisia's supremacy on the podium.
Fencing: Four Additional Podiums
Tunisian fencers added 4 medals to the delegation's count:
- Foil: Salima Gharbi opened the march by winning a beautiful silver medal in the girls' event.
- Saber: Yasmine Rezgui and Alaa Chabbi both won bronze in the women's event.
- Épée: Youssef Rafrafi finished third, earning the bronze medal in the boys' event.
