Italy's Largest Trade Union Calls for General Strike
Italy's largest trade union confederation announced on Wednesday that it has called for a general strike on Friday to protest the treatment of the international flotilla "Sumud", which aims to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip.

Protests were organized in several Italian cities late in the day, including Naples, where demonstrators disrupted rail traffic at the main train station, following reports of nearly twenty unknown ships approaching the flotilla.
