Tehran Explosions Prompt Maximum Alert in All Iranian Hospitals

The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Hossein Kermanpour, said on Saturday that all hospitals across the country are on maximum alert following the explosions that shook Tehran.

“After hearing the sounds of the explosions in Tehran, ambulances and rescue teams rushed to the blast sites to provide assistance,” Kermanpour told the Iranian news agency IRNA.

He added that ambulances and rescue crews were dispatched to the centre of the capital, Tehran, to aid those affected, emphasizing that every hospital is now operating at the highest level of readiness.

Regarding the potential number of casualties, Kermanpour said:

“The situation is still being monitored and will be communicated as soon as precise information becomes available.”

Earlier, several powerful explosions were reported in the capital, with smoke plumes rising from the affected area.
