The Press and Information Sciences Institute (IPSI) Launches its "Club Green"
The Press and Information Sciences Institute (IPSI) launched its "Club Green" on Monday, an initiative dedicated to environmental journalism and communication, aiming to raise awareness, train, and unite stakeholders committed to a sustainable future. In a statement published on its Facebook page, the IPSI indicates that this club is part of its commitment to sustainable development and aligns with the values promoted by the UNESCO Chair. It specifically targets three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- Goal 5 (Gender Equality)
- Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities)
- Goal 13 (Climate Action) Adopted in 2015 by all United Nations member states, the 17 SDGs constitute a global program aiming to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030. The IPSI's "Club Green" intends to contribute to this roadmap through the training of journalists and communicators sensitive to ecological and social issues.
