24th Session of Tunisia Investment Authority's Strategic Council Held on May 5, 2026
The 24th session of the Tunisia Investment Authority's (TIA) Strategic Council took place on May 5, 2026, under the chairmanship of Mr. Jalel Tebib. The meeting focused on the experience of Vietnam in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and the evaluation of Tunisia's investment framework for 2025.
Vietnamese Experience in Attracting FDI Presented
The first session was dedicated to the presentation of Vietnam's experience in attracting investments, presented by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Nam, founder and general director of IPAVIETNAM. He detailed the key reforms that enabled Vietnam to become a high-performing destination for foreign direct investment. The discussions also highlighted the prospects for strengthening economic cooperation between Tunisia and Vietnam.
TIA's Evaluation Report on Tunisia's Investment Framework Presented
In the second part of the meeting, the TIA team presented a draft report evaluating Tunisia's investment framework for 2025. The document analyzes the business climate in Tunisia based on international comparisons and structured feedback from public and private actors. It reviews the reforms implemented in 2025 and highlights the main persistent structural challenges.
Council Members Emphasize Need for Accelerated Reform Implementation
During the discussions, members of the Strategic Council emphasized the need to accelerate the implementation of key structural reforms. They also stressed the importance of adopting a proactive and agile approach by investment promotion agencies to better respond to ongoing geopolitical transformations.
