Residents of "Douar El Housh" Quarter Face Difficulties Due to Deteriorated Infrastructure

Jamal Sioubi, a resident of the "Douar El Housh" quarter in the delegation of Nefza (Béja Governorate), stated on Monday that "more than 250 families are suffering from the degradation of the area's infrastructure and the impassable state of the roads, which are submerged in mud." He also emphasized that "the quarter lacks basic services, such as drinking water, which they are forced to transport on donkeys."

During a phone intervention on Jawhara FM, Sioubi explained that "parents have had to leave their jobs to take care of their children, who are facing great difficulties in getting to school due to the muddy and treacherous paths." He specified that "the school is far from their residential area, and they have to cross a wadi that has already caused the death of one person."

Sioubi also indicated that "students are transported in pickup trucks or small vans during the winter, given the danger of the area and the presence of wild animals in the mountains they have to cross." He launched an appeal to "take care of this quarter and provide it with the essential services of life."
