Tunisian Tourism: Towards New Perspectives

The Arab Institute of Business Leaders (IACE) is organizing the 9th edition of the Tunis Economic Forum next Thursday at the Maison de l'Entreprise in Berges du Lac, under the theme "Tourism in Tunisia... towards new perspectives". According to a statement from the Institute, the forum is an annual gathering of economic actors and decision-makers to discuss vital issues shaping the future of the Tunisian economy. Tourism will be at the heart of the discussions as a promising sector offering opportunities for growth, investment, and innovation.

At the end of August, the tourism sector's revenues reached approximately 1.6 billion euros, equivalent to around 5.443 billion dinars, compared to 5.012 billion dinars for the same period last year, marking a progression of over 8%, according to data from the Central Bank of Tunisia. According to the economic situation report for July 2025 published by the Central Bank, tourist activity in Tunisia experienced a notable recovery during the first half of this year. The number of non-resident visitors reached 3.8 million people, representing a 12.4% increase, compared to a single-digit increase of 4% for the same period last year.

The total number of overnight stays also increased by 9.3%, reaching 9.8 million overnight stays by the end of June this year.
