Integration of High-Value Agricultural Products into Tourist Circuits

As part of the national program to integrate high-value agricultural products into tourist circuits, the Ministry of Tourism, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, organized a tourist visit to the Henchir Chaâl estate (Sfax governorate) on Saturday, November 29, 2025, for a multinational delegation.

National Strategy

This initiative is part of a national strategy to strengthen the position of Tunisian olive oil as a global strategic product and to create new specialized circuits dedicated to this flagship product. These tours will allow visitors to discover the different stages of production directly in the fields.

The visit highlighted the agricultural and environmental richness of the site, characterized by a varied forest ecosystem and complementary livestock farming.

Promotion and Sales

As part of a direct promotion approach, a sales space was set up on site, offering visitors the opportunity to purchase high-quality packaged olive oil produced in the region. The goal is to strengthen international demand for Tunisian products and consolidate the value chain of the olive oil sector.
