This national initiative aims to provide care for nearly 1,000 patients suffering from cataracts, with a priority given to beneficiaries of reduced-cost healthcare cards. The initiative involves free surgical operations organized simultaneously in several regions across the country, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.
Collaboration Between Public and Private Healthcare Institutions
The operation will mobilize 28 public healthcare institutions and 20 private clinics. Free lenses and medications will be provided, along with post-operative medical follow-up and coverage for transportation and accommodation, if necessary.
