Tunisia’s Health Ministry Launches Pilot Digital App for Citizen Requests at Sahloul Hospital
The Ministry of Health announced on Sunday the launch of a pilot digital application designed to receive and process citizens’ requests and complaints at Sahloul Hospital in Sousse.
According to an official statement, the initiative is part of the national strategy to modernize and reform the health system, aiming in particular to improve the relationship between public services and users.
The new platform will:
- Accelerate the handling of requests and route them directly to the relevant departments.
- Provide a clear and transparent follow‑up of each case, from submission to closure.
The system also includes a digital archiving solution intended to reduce paper usage and strengthen governance within health facilities.
The Ministry highlights that the tool can limit delays and manipulations, while reinforcing the fight against corruption through traceability and accountability mechanisms.
Choosing Sahloul Hospital as the experimental site will allow the Ministry to test the application in real conditions, make necessary adjustments, and eventually roll it out progressively across the country. The ultimate goal is to enhance the quality of health services for all Tunisians.
