The National Office of Crafts (ONA) Participates in the Third Edition of the International Saudi Banan Crafts Week
The National Office of Crafts (ONA) is taking part in the third edition of the International Saudi Banan Crafts Week, held from November 13 to 26 in Riyadh, as announced by the organizers.
Tunisian Representation
Tunisia is represented by a collective pavilion gathering five artisans specializing in:
- Traditional clothing and sewing
- Hand embroidery
- Leather products
- Palm wood sculpture
- Amber jewelry
- Traditional weaving
The pavilion also showcases products from Tunisian craft enterprises active in:
- Blown glass
- Traditional cages
- Pottery
- Ceramics
- Textiles
- Copperwork
- Decorative tiles
Highlighted Pieces
Among the showcased pieces is a natural stone mosaic representing an olive tree, a major cultural symbol in Tunisia, presented in the space dedicated to artisanal art works.
The Banan Week Event
Organized at the initiative of the Saudi Heritage Commission, the Banan Week is part of the 2025 Year of Crafts. The event brings together over 400 artisans from around 40 countries, including Tunisia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Yemen, Morocco, Turkey, Pakistan, Japan, South Korea, France, Italy, Spain, the United States, and Australia. China is the guest of honor for this edition.
