The Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic (JORT) has published a decree dated May 26, 2026, awarding Firas El Abed, a traditional ceramic artisan, the National Prize for the Best Project in the Artisanal Sector for New Promoters (for the year 2025).
Hailing from Moknine, in the Monastir governorate, this young promoter won the first prize at the national level among over 70 participants. The competition for the best project among new promoters took place during the National Innovation in Artisanal Sector Exhibition, held at the Kram Exhibition Park in April 2026.
This was Firas El Abed's first participation in a national exhibition in the artisanal sector.
A graduate of the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Sousse, the laureate launched his pottery and clay sculpture activity in 2025.

Firas El Abed is a traditional ceramic artisan from Moknine, Monastir governorate. He won the National Prize for the Best Project in the Artisanal Sector for New Promoters in 2025.
