Hamas Releases Last Group of Hostages from Gaza Strip
Hamas has released the last group of living hostages still being held in the Gaza Strip, after handing over another group of 7 people to the Red Cross earlier this morning, Monday, October 13, 2025.
Prisoner Exchange Operation
This prisoner exchange operation is part of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan introduced by US President Donald Trump. The plan involves the return of hostages to the occupying entity in exchange for the release of 250 Palestinian prisoners, including:
- 192 prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment
- 25 individuals with long-term sentences
- 32 detainees Additionally, 1,718 prisoners from the Gaza Strip, arrested after October 7, 2023, will be released.
