According to the Hamas official interviewed by Al Jazeera, the Zionist entity targeted the delegation during a meeting in the Qatari capital to discuss US President Donald Trump's proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying: "We condemn the cowardly attack by the Zionist entity that targeted the residences of several members of Hamas' political bureau in Doha." The statement emphasizes that this "criminal aggression is a violation of all international laws and a serious threat to the security and integrity of Qataris and residents," and reaffirms that Qatar "will not tolerate this reckless behavior by the Zionist entity" or "any act that threatens its security and sovereignty."
