Since the start of the offensive against Iran last Saturday, Gulf countries have neutralised more than 1,700 hostile weapons
Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain have confirmed that they intercepted the vast majority of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones launched by Tehran.
- In the UAE, the strikes nevertheless caused three deaths and dozens of minor injuries.
- Kuwait reports 27 wounded among its military personnel.
In Saudi Arabia, air‑defence systems shot down several drones targeting Riyadh, the U.S. embassy and the Ras Tanura refinery, where a limited fire was quickly contained by Aramco. Tehran says it is targeting U.S. bases and interests in retaliation for the strikes it has suffered on its own territory, causing material damage and operational disruptions in several peninsula states.
