Launch of the 39th Edition of the Enterprise Days

The 39th edition of the Enterprise Days was officially launched this Friday morning in Sousse by Samir Abdelhafidh, Minister of Economy and Planning. At the opening of this annual meeting, the minister outlined the main lines of the national economic strategy, emphasizing the need to understand global changes, stimulate investment, and strengthen the capacities of Tunisian institutions in a context of rapid global transformations.

Understanding Global Transformations to Guide Growth

From the outset, Abdelhafidh stressed that the government's priority is to analyze the profound transformations underway in the global economy in order to define growth opportunities for national institutions. According to him, the Enterprise Days, which have become a major annual event, constitute a privileged space for multidisciplinary dialogue, allowing for the confrontation of visions, analyses, and strategies.

He further stated that this event, with its national and international dimension, should serve as a starting point for strengthening ties between Tunisian economic actors, their foreign counterparts, and public and private institutions.

In the face of technological upheavals and socio-economic challenges, the minister advocated for the adoption of innovative policies capable of ensuring equity, competitiveness, and resilience for businesses.

"Development must remain centered on human beings," he insisted, stressing the importance of fair, integrated, and sustainable growth.

This orientation, he recalled, is part of the President of the Republic's vision, which aims to reconcile social equality, food security, energy security, and the state's financial balance.

Improving Economic Indicators

Despite global disruptions, Abdelhafidh highlighted the resilience of the Tunisian economy. He mentioned:

  • A growth rate of 2.4% over the first nine months of 2025
  • A level of foreign exchange reserves equivalent to 105 days of imports in December 2025
  • A 4.9% increase in exports over the past few weeks
  • A 28% increase in foreign investment over the first nine months of the year

These results, according to him, demonstrate the national economy's ability to maintain and progress despite an uncertain global environment.

In the same context, the minister recalled that the state remains determined to pursue reforms aimed at improving the business climate and removing obstacles for local and foreign investors.

He emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships, describing them as "complementary and essential to the national interest."

Relying on Article 17 of the Constitution, which guarantees equality between the two sectors, he affirmed that every investment is an act of trust in the future, particularly for opening up prospects for young people.

Taking advantage of the same opportunity, Abdelhafidh presented the 2026-2030 Development Plan as a major opportunity to catalyze the necessary structural reforms for sustainable and equitable prosperity. This plan, according to him, must respond to the aspirations of Tunisians while adapting the country to new global economic dynamics.

The minister recalled that innovation is today the primary driver of growth, citing the message carried by this year's Nobel Prize in Economics. He called on Tunisian businesses to strengthen their technological capabilities and competitiveness to integrate into the new international economic order.
