Tunisian Parliament Approves Key Amendments to 2026 Budget Bill
Unanimous Adoption of Measures to Boost Economic Growth and Support Citizens
The member of parliament, Ali Zaghdoud, from the "For the People to Triumph" bloc, announced that an additional proposal to the 2026 budget bill, allowing each Tunisian family to import a car from abroad, has been unanimously adopted by the members of the finance and budget committees of both legislative chambers, meeting in a joint session.
He specified that a second amendment, aiming to allocate credits in the budget law for the benefit of the first cohort of unemployed university graduates in the public sector and civil service, has also been approved.
Zaghdoud added that a third amendment, concerning the reduction of tax applied to retirement pensions and life annuities, was validated unanimously.
