Hajj and Omra Administration Prepares for 2026 Season

The head of general administration for Hajj and Omra at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Anis Mzoughi, announced that the final lists of pilgrims, as well as waiting lists, are currently being prepared. He specified that pilgrims who have passed the medical examination will receive an SMS regarding their acceptance.

During an interview on National Radio on Friday, November 21, 2025, Anis Mzoughi recalled that Tunisia's quota for the 2026 Hajj season has been set at 10,982 pilgrims, emphasizing that the Saudi authorities have not increased the quota for any country.

Mzoughi indicated that the price of Hajj for the 2026 season will be announced soon, stressing that this tariff is not for profit and explaining that the increase in costs is reflected in this price.

The spokesperson specified that the deadline for visas is set for March 2026 and that the first trip to the Holy Sites is scheduled for May 7, 2026.

Anis Mzoughi highlighted that the Tunisian authorities have ensured the rental of hotels close to the Holy Sites, as well as the rental of new buses for the transportation of Tunisian pilgrims, in order to guarantee their travel in comfortable conditions. He also mentioned that the Tunisian authorities have concluded contracts for the catering of pilgrims.

He added that a regional center will be dedicated in December to finalize travel procedures, and a statement will be published to this effect.
