Government Presidency Announces External Competition for State Controllers
The Government Presidency has announced the opening of an external competition on files to fill ten positions of assistant state controllers, as part of filling vacancies within this body.
According to a decree issued by the Head of Government on May 15, 2026, and published in the latest issue of the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic, this competition will open on July 15, 2026, and the following days. The deadline for closing the list of applications has been set for June 15, 2026. This announcement follows a previous decree issued by the Head of Government on May 5, 2026, setting the modalities for organizing this external competition on files for the recruitment of assistant state controllers within the State Controllers Committee of the Government Presidency.
Eligibility Criteria
This competition is open to candidates holding a doctorate or a master's degree in law, economics, management, accounting, or equivalent diplomas. The decree also sets specific conditions for holders of the Higher Studies Diploma in Accounting Review, requiring a minimum of three years' experience in a certified public accountant's office registered on the Order of Certified Public Accountants in Tunisia.
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of two stages. The first stage will involve an evaluation of the candidates' files, followed by an oral interview before the competition jury to assess their scientific qualifications and professional activities. The final results will be established based on precise coefficients, namely a coefficient of one for the file and a coefficient of two for the oral interview.
Application Process
The constitution of the candidate's file also divides into two distinct phases.
For the registration phase, candidates must provide a candidacy application, a copy of their national identity card, and a certified copy of their university diploma, accompanied by a copy of the equivalence decree if it is a foreign or private diploma. The file must also include a detailed curriculum vitae mentioning their works, professional activities, internships, and participation in seminars, with copies of their research and publications. For holders of the Accounting Review Diploma, a certificate proving at least three years' experience in a certified public accountant's office is required. Finally, candidates who have exceeded the legal age limit must attach a document attesting to the completion of effective civil services or their registration with an employment office.
In a second phase, admitted candidates must complete their file before their official nomination. They must then provide a copy of their judicial record (bulletin number 3) dated less than three months, a copy of their birth certificate dated less than three months, and a medical certificate dated less than three months attesting to their physical and mental aptitudes.
Submission of Applications
The decree specifies that files must be sent by registered mail or deposited directly with the Central Order Bureau of the Government Presidency, located at the Government Square in La Kasbah, 1020 Tunis.
