New Proposals for Sensitive Commissions
The Federal Bureau has made a wise decision to postpone the general assembly dedicated to the election of presidents and members of various independent commissions. Following the qualification of the Tunisian team for the American World Cup and the colossal financial gain that this qualification will generate, this assembly will take place in a festive atmosphere. The member associations will not miss this appointment, and it is expected that their representatives will be numerous to come and validate by their vote the lists of the six independent commissions that the federal office will have proposed to them.
The Operation Will Be Settled Quickly
The operation will be settled, without a doubt, during the morning in a few hours, without debate on the merits of these choices and without reservations about the candidates. Only two commissions out of six will be chaired by "old-timers" who are not in their first term.
- Ridha Sellami, a loyal supporter of FTF President Moez Nasri, has been proposed as president of the National Appeal Commission with five new figures:
- Samir Boujeddi as his right-hand man and first vice-president
- Lotfi Tlissi, Sami Mohsni, Wajdi Chater, and Atef Ansari as members
- Another "old-timer," Faouzi Chamengui, has been chosen for the chair of the Discipline and Fair Play Commission with new blood in the composition of members:
- Ramzi Ben Ach Billah as first deputy
- Amor Anis Zermati, Aymen Abdeddayem, and Mariem Ellafi as members
New Commissions and Members
The Electoral Commission has been entirely reformed with:
- Hamadi Ben Jaza as president
- Another Ben Ach Billah (Riadh) as vice-president
- Moez Ben Nasr, Mohamed Ouertatani, and Nourhen Akremi as members The Electoral Appeal Commission is a new creation to study appeals concerning electoral processes, headed by:
- Béchir Ghachem
- Limayem Achouri as second on the list, accompanied by Bilel Marzouk, Rim Ghaîgi, and Mohamed Gueblaoui The Governance and Audit Commission has been entrusted to a new-look team with:
- Lassaâd Wali as president
- Zied Fatnassi as vice-president
- Hamdi Lejmi, Skander Arfaoui, and Mohamed Zied Hadhri as members
The Ethics Commission
Finally, the famous Ethics Commission, which will have a lot on its plate with a new team, is composed of:
- Sami Smadehi as president
- Zine El Abidine Oueslati, the former secretary-general of Club Africain for many years, as vice-president
- Nabil Mouhi, Mohamed Hassani, and Makrem Abdellatif as members
Questions About the Choices
According to what criteria were these choices made? Why is the female presence, with only three women (Mariem Ellafi, Nourhen Akremi, Rim Ghaîgi) out of twenty-eight men, so low? These are questions that Moez Nasri must answer to convince and encourage the majority of voters to validate these "parachuted" choices after a timid consultation with the clubs.
