Tunisian Fleet Soumoud Instance Announces Total Donations of 1.887 Million Dinars to Break Gaza Siege

The Tunisian Instance of the Fleet Soumoud to break the Gaza siege announced on Wednesday evening that the total amount of donations collected in Tunisia has reached 1.887 million dinars. The financial report, released in a video published on the official page of the Maghreb Soumoud Instance, details the use of funds and the progress of the ships involved in the international mission.

Breakdown of Donations

According to the data provided:

  • 1.117 million dinars were allocated for the purchase and equipment of ships
  • 234 thousand dinars were allocated for the accommodation of delegations, travel, media campaign, associated events, logistics, and return tickets to Tunisia
  • 505 thousand dinars were donated to the "Save the Children of Palestine" campaign launched by SOS Children's Villages
  • Approximately 30 thousand dinars were allocated for port fees in Tunisia and Italy

Status of Material Aid

The Instance specifies that the cargo shipped remains detained by the occupation authorities, while the rest of the donations in kind have been handed over to the Tunisian Red Crescent. It also ensures that all financial operations were supervised by a court bailiff, in coordination with a lawyer and an accountant. The complete report, including contracts and invoices, will be made available to donors.

Status of Tunisian Ships

Out of the nine Tunisian ships involved:

  • Three reached the outskirts of Gaza's territorial waters before their crews were taken away by Israeli forces. These ships are now under judicial procedure, preventing any appropriation by the occupation authorities.
  • Four ships are currently immobilized in an Italian port due to technical failures, with three no longer being the responsibility of the Tunisian Instance.
  • A fishing boat financed by Tunisian donations was not authorized to join the fleet at the last minute.
  • A small sailboat used for logistical assistance remains in Italy.

Status of Moroccan Ship Aladdin

The Instance indicates that the Moroccan ship Aladdin, acquired in Tunisia, was unable to continue its journey to Gaza due to a navigation dispute and technical inability to ensure the return trip, according to the captain's account.

Finalization of Financial Report

The Tunisian Instance recalls that it had announced on October 26th the finalization and publication of the financial report within a period of 45 days.
