Multidisciplinary Military Medical Caravan Arrives in Belkhir Delegation

A multidisciplinary military medical caravan arrived on Sunday in the Belkhir delegation, in the Gafsa governorate. Organized by the Ministry of National Defense in partnership with the Regional Health Directorate, this initiative aims to bring health services closer to citizens living in interior and remote areas.

The Colonel Doctor Kahia, Director of Health Support at the General Directorate of Military Health, specified that 35 medical and paramedical military personnel, in collaboration with 10 professionals from the public sector, will provide consultations in 13 specialties, including:

  • Endocrinology
  • Cardiology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Pediatrics
  • Orthopedics and Rheumatology
  • Dermatology
  • Gynecology-Obstetrics
  • Dentistry

Ultrasound scans will also be performed.

Approximately 850 citizens are expected to benefit from the services of this caravan, which will also provide the necessary medications, added Colonel Kahia.

A working session was held last August at the governorate headquarters, bringing together the various stakeholders to prepare and ensure the success of this initiative.
