Tunisian Federation of Travel Agencies (FTAV) Expresses Unwavering Support for Nouvelair

The Tunisian Federation of Travel Agencies (FTAV) has expressed its total and unconditional support for the airline Nouvelair, which it describes as an "essential pillar of the national fleet" and a "major economic player" recognized for its seriousness, professionalism, and constant commitment to passenger safety.

This support comes after an incident occurred on September 21, 2025, on a Nouvelair flight from Tunis to Nice. The FTAV emphasizes that the incident is currently the subject of several investigations by the competent authorities and stresses the need to wait for the official conclusions before drawing any hasty interpretations or judgments.

The federation regretted that "certain foreign media" had published premature information about the incident, estimating that this hasty dissemination fuels "unfounded rumors" and harms the reputation of Nouvelair as well as the Tunisian aviation sector as a whole.

The FTAV recalled that all passengers are safe and that Nouvelair is fully cooperating with the competent authorities. With 36 years of experience, the company has demonstrated its reliability, respect for the strictest international standards, and essential contribution to the development of Tunisian tourism.

The federation called on all sector players to exercise restraint, unity, and responsibility, warning that any "opportunistic media use" could only weaken the common ecosystem. It renewed its absolute support for Nouvelair in the face of "unjustified criticism and the foreign media campaign," according to the official statement.
