This Sunday, October 5, 2025, coinciding with the first Sunday of the month, access to museums, sites, and monuments will be free.
Eligible Sites and Beneficiaries
The free entry policy applies to sites, monuments, and museums under the management of the Agency for the Development of Heritage and Cultural Promotion (AMVPPC). This principle benefits all Tunisian citizens and foreigners residing in Tunisia. It is applicable on public holidays, the first Sunday of each month, International Heritage Day (April 18), and International Museum Day (May 18).
Visiting Conditions
Visitors wishing to discover the national heritage scattered throughout the territory of the Republic can take advantage of this offer by presenting their national identity card or residence card. The visiting hours vary from one region to another and depending on the site, museum, or monument.
Agency's Mission and Responsibilities
The Agency for the Development of Heritage and Cultural Promotion manages various sites, monuments, and museums across the territory of the Tunisian Republic. Its mission is to execute the state's policy in the cultural field by promoting the national heritage in all its diversity. The agency oversees about sixty archaeological sites, historical monuments, and museums, including nine cultural properties listed on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
