French President Emmanuel Macron Reappoints Sébastien Lecornu as Prime Minister

Emmanuel Macron, who had committed to appointing a new Prime Minister by Friday evening, met with party leaders and parliamentary group presidents in the afternoon, excluding the National Rally (RN) and France Unbowed (LFI) - but failed to convince the socialists and ecologists. The left-wing parties, which demanded a personality from their ranks at Matignon, have threatened to censure the next government.
