Minister of Health Announces Plans to Equip Regional Hospitals with Advanced Medical Equipment
During a visit to the Jendouba governorate, the Minister of Health announced the department's commitment to providing regional hospitals in Tabarka and Jendouba with a range of equipment, including a breast cancer screening imaging device and a scanner.
The Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, emphasized on Thursday that the digitization of the healthcare sector has been driven by technological advancements and the need for patients to receive rapid and simplified healthcare services, including reduced waiting times and congestion.
Ferjani specified, during a press conference held at the Tabarka Regional Hospital after witnessing remote consultations via scanner, that tele-radiology will enable specialist doctors to connect with hospitals and optimize the use of digitization to ensure access to healthcare for all, particularly in remote areas.
As part of his visit to the Tabarka Regional Hospital, the second stage of his field visit to the Jendouba governorate, the Minister of Health committed to equipping the hospital with a breast cancer screening imaging device, due to the increasing number of patients in the region.
In the same context, he announced that the Jendouba Regional Hospital will be equipped with a second scanner to strengthen detection and treatment operations.
