The Espérance Sportive de Tunis has announced via its official Facebook page that medical examinations have revealed a minor muscular injury for its defender, Mohamed Ben Ali, sustained during the 9th-day championship match of Ligue 1 against Etoile du Sahel on Sunday. The Bab Souika club added that the player will undergo further check-up examinations before resuming training. Regarding Algerian central defender Mohamed Amine Tougai, Espérance stated that medical examinations have confirmed a muscular injury contracted during the same match. The player will be rested and will undergo further check-up examinations to determine the date of his progressive return to training. It is worth noting that both players were unable to finish the aforementioned classico, which was won 1-0 by Espérance, currently occupying 2nd place in the overall standings, just one point behind leader Stade Tunisien.
