Moroccan International Achraf Hakimi Crowned Best African Player
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has been named the best African player at the 2025 CAF Awards ceremony, held on Wednesday evening in Rabat. In 2025, Hakimi won the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain, Ligue 1, the French Cup, the Trophée des Champions, and the European Super Cup. Egyptian Mohamed Salah, a striker for Liverpool, and Nigerian Victor Osimhen, a player for Galatasaray, were also in contention for the award for best African player of the year. The award was presented to Hakimi by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
