Tunisian Team to Face Challenges in Upcoming Match
The Espérance sportive de Tunis will be without several key players when they face off against Burkinabé club FC Rahimou on Saturday at the 4 August Stadium in Ouagadougou, for the first leg of the second preliminary round of the African Champions League. Notably, the team will be missing two Algerian internationals, Youssef Belaili and Mohamed Amine Tougai, as well as Brazilian player Yan Sasse and Tunisian left-back Mohamed Ben Ali, all of whom are injured.
According to a statement made to the TAP on Tuesday, a source within the Sang et Or team revealed that Sasse's injury occurred during a training session the previous day. The player will undergo thorough examinations to determine whether he will be able to travel to Burkina Faso.
The same source indicated that the participation of left-back Mohamed Amine Ben Hmida and central defender Yassine Meriah remains uncertain and will depend on the evolution of their physical condition.
