MPs of the Assembly of the People's Representatives (ARP) Strongly Denounce the "Criminal Abduction" of their Colleague Mohamed Ali and Members of the Global Flotilla Soumoud Heading to the Gaza Strip
In a joint statement, the MPs emphasized that the actions of the occupation forces constitute a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, a direct attack on a sovereign institution representing the Tunisian people's will, and a serious threat to humanitarian principles guaranteeing freedom of expression, movement, and relief efforts.
The signatories demanded the immediate and unconditional release of MP Mohamed Ali and all arrested individuals, members of the flotilla. They called for holding the Zionist occupation entirely responsible for the safety of the arrested Tunisian citizens, considering this abduction a provocation against the entire Tunisian people.
The MPs also called for a firm national stance against this aggression, urging the international community, free parliaments, and human rights organizations to confront these abuses. They further requested an extraordinary parliamentary session and the appointment of an emergency commission to coordinate with national authorities and international organizations to ensure the safety of the MP and Tunisian citizens and work towards their release as soon as possible.
