Search Operations Continue for Missing Fishing Vessel off Kelibia
A senior officer of the Kelibia Maritime Guard zone announced that search efforts are still underway to locate the fishing boat that vanished on 24 February, along with its six crew members.
According to our source, a Defence Ministry aircraft is conducting its fourth sortie today, providing support to the Maritime Guard’s floating units. The mission is part of a sweep of the maritime area situated roughly 50 nautical miles off our coast, near the Italian territorial waters.
Mosaïque reports that the searches, launched 11 days ago after the vessel’s disappearance, are proceeding at the same pace. Only two days of operations were paused due to adverse weather conditions and high seas. Authorities remain hopeful that the continued effort will soon shed light on the fate of the boat and its crew.
