The International Fishing and Aquaculture Exhibition, held in the city of Oran, Algeria, from November 6 to 9, 2025, witnessed a remarkable Tunisian presence, with the participation of delegations from Tunisian companies, organized and supervised by the Export Promotion Center (CEPEX). This participation is part of the regional expansion strategy aimed at promoting Tunisian solutions and expertise in the fishing, aquaculture, and maritime industry sectors. The CEPEX indicated, in a statement, that the Tunisian delegation included three leading companies representing key sectors of the national industry, including two companies specialized in the manufacture of fish food, seafood processing, and fish farming, and a company specialized in the maritime sector, with extensive experience in the design, construction, and renovation of fishing vessels, making it qualified to meet the needs of the Algerian and African markets.

Event Overview

This exhibition is considered one of the major African events dedicated to fishing and aquaculture. Its tenth edition brought together 180 exhibitors from 17 different countries. This year's edition placed particular emphasis on research and innovation, with the participation of 38 start-ups and the organization of ten scientific workshops dedicated to the sustainable management of marine resources. Algeria, the host country, presented a notable expansion dynamic in the aquaculture sector, with the launch of 27 new marine aquaculture and fish farming projects, and the breeding of around 46 million small fish, representing a 50% increase compared to previous years.
