FIFA to Distribute $355 Million to Clubs for 2026 World Cup
The FIFA has confirmed that it will pay $355 million to clubs that release their players for the 2026 World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
This amount represents a 70% increase from the $209 million distributed after the 2022 edition in Qatar. The major novelty: clubs will be compensated not only for the final phase but also when a player participates in qualifying matches. This agreement is part of the renewed Club Benefits Programme between FIFA and the European Club Association (ECA).
